Date & Time

Description

Identifying as first generation, disabled, as a student of color, or as a part of any community who has faced ongoing marginalization in educational spaces, comes with unique experiences and needs. Understanding the common experiences had by and needs of marginalized communities is key for supporting our collective transition back to being in-person at UMBC. This session will provide background for common experiences faced by marginalized students and will explore tips and skills for supporting them as a part of the hybrid university experience. **Co-sponsored by Off-Campus Student Support
