What's The (T)ea With "Ace" Identities?

This series is geared towards exploring social justice needs for various marginalized populations. We all talk about how diverse UMBC is but, what does that mean in reality? How does it show up in how we communicate and interact with each other? When does celebrating diversity shift into inclusivity that creates positive social change in and outside our campus community? This series hopes to help us grapple with these questions. Join us for a facilitated discussion of these topics, voice your opinions, and hear those of your fellow community members.

Have you ever thought that romantic and/or sexual relationships weren't for you? Do you have no idea what "Gray" identities are? Curious about how romance and/or engaging in sex create unnecessary pressure both historically and in present day? Drop by The Pride Center as we discuss the asexual and aromantic spectrums and learn why making the distinction between romantic and sexual orientations are important to understand the nuances of human sexuality, as well as the lived experiences of "Ace" folks within the queer community.
