Description
Ever wondered how to better show up for friends and UMBC community members with different faith traditions and spiritualities? How can you act in the face of religious bias and prejudice? Join i3b as we learn "How to be a (Better) (Religious) Ally" to marginalized religious groups on campus.
During this first event focused on challenging antisemitism, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about religious bias and discrimination, hear from voices of the UMBC Jewish community about their experiences, develop skills around bystander intervention that will help with allyship, and make commitments to engage in this important work.
This series on "How to be a Better Religious Ally" will take place over three sessions this spring, discussing antisemitism, Islamophobia, and anti-Hindu bias. Future dates: To Be Announced.
