Mindfulness Mondays: Exploring Spiritual Identity
Come explore diverse and inclusive spiritual opportunities
Location
The Center for Well-Being : 109
Date & Time
May 9, 2022, 11:45 am – 12:45 pm
Description
Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully bringing one's attention into the present moment without judgment. Join our staff to pause and connect with yourself, others, and the space around you.
Pluralism is the organizing and interaction of groups while they continue to maintain their identities. Being open and trying something new while maintaining your boundaries is an important skill to have. Interacting with different faiths on different levels helps break down unnecessary boundaries and improve relationships. Talking about different spiritualities and faiths with peers is good for yourself, the community and society. Do you want to know more about religious and spiritual diversity aside from your own in hopes to find out what we all have in common? Do you want to discuss ways in which we can all grow as a community together and create a common spiritual environment? Come to the Gathering Space to discuss ways in which we can explore interfaith and pluralistic practices with religious leaders from our Religious Council and UMBC community members.
Click "going" and fill out our RSVP Form if you are planning to attend. Once you RSVP, you will receive a calendar invite.
Our i3b staff strives to create the most inclusive environment possible. If you need to request a disability-based accommodation or have any questions, contact us at i3b@umbc.edu.
